Justice is Nigh

By: Jevaunie Patterson

Money is in your pockets but
blood is in your hands
For you’ve stolen from the poor
and crippled them,
Cars are in your garage but
tears wash your shoulders
Blood is in your veins and
also in your Range Rover.

You’ve starved the struggling
with your greedy ways
For you were seeking quick cash
in your endless wallet,
But harshly inconsiderate you
discourteous person are
With your overly demanding
need and greed for more.

You sleep carelessly in your bed
tonight
But have you ever wondered how
your victims sleep at night?
‘Cause you’ve stolen the very bed
upon which the lay their heads
The very floor upon which they
tread
The very doors upon which they
they swing open,
So why on earth are you even
resting?

But one day justice will loudly
bang on your guilty door
And then you’ll be sleeping on
a cold jail’s floor,
For time is chasing you in this
lavish life that you’re living
It could even be lurking currently
in your very kitchen.

But blame the guy that you see
in your diamond encrusted mirror
today
For the haunting effects of your
criminal activities,
‘Cause he’s the one you ought to
blame
When you sight the police for they’re coming.

‘Cause he’s the reason the poor,
the insane and the homeless sleep
in the rain
But justice will soon warm their icy
cold hearts and it shall surely
prevail
For your driving your Range Rover
in fire tonight
So when you burn let them hear
your inhuman cries

‘Cause you’re the one who caused
them endless suffering
So I hope that you’re sentenced to
life in prison,
Without the possibility of any parole
For you the thief have no soul.
